I teach children in playgroup every day. We always teach the children in outdoor once a month, on Saturday. We teach them about environment, that is how to recycle all kind of plastic waste. We also teach them how to make a flower pot or other accessories from a plastic bottle.
From such good idea, I always think about our environment that has so much plastic waste. Human cannot be separated from plastic bag because it’s practical to bring to everywhere. As I know, plastic cannot be broken down by soil. If it can, it needs a long time for soil to broken down the plastic.
Then I think about Italy, a country of pizza. When celebrating earth’s day on 2010. That country created a program that a supermarket must not use plastic bag to wrap goods. For supermarket that doesn’t use plastic will be awarded from the government.
That’s not all. They also make their country free of plastic waste, steoroform and tin waste that cannot be broken down by soil. I think that’s a good idea if this can be implemented in our city. But, it must be little bit hard to be implemented if our government doesn’t get involved. You know, minimarket and supermarket tends to wrap their customer’s goods by using plastic bag instead of other bag that is more expensive then plastic bag.
By the way, we can apply another method in our beloved country. The customer of minimarket or supermarket can bring their own funny basket from home. And supermarket or minimarket suggests their customers to keep being friendly to the environment. Then the customer would be given award from supermarket or minimarket, if they want to.
Then government would give award to supermarket or minimarket that has applied the method. It’s a good idea, isn’t it? Actually, there are many ways to make people be away of plastic usage. Any way, it’s all depends on our government.
By using method that has been mentioned above, we perhaps can do two things. First, keep the environment clean. Second, we have to bring our own funny basket from home.
The government should support the people who have a business that cycling plastic waste become kinds of funny bag for shopping. But it’s not as easy as we think in making those funny bags. It needs certain skills.
Therefore, the government has to make a program for people that concern about cycling plastic waste. By this program, perhaps Pekanbaru can keep his top rank.
